Ayodhya verdict has a message of coexistence: Jamia VC

Ayodhya verdict has a message of coexistence: Jamia VC

The "underlying message" in the Ayodhya verdict is that of coexistence, because India's Muslims and Hindus have to live together and it is time for them to start praying together, Jamia Millia University Vice Chancellor Najeeb Jung says. "I believe the learned judges have actually presented a cocktail of their own
belief and a mixture of history and jurisprudence. I think they were wrestling with expectations of the society and they have tried to do a match of statesmanship and matchmaking," Jung told IANS in an interview at his office on Friday. The Allahabad High Court in its verdict Thursday gave two-third of the disputed land to two Hindu litigant parties and a third to a Muslim group.

Not dissatisfied with the verdict that gives a go ahead for construction of a Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, Jung said the judges have passed "a message that you have to live for thousands of years. There is a possibility, try and pray together. There is an underlying message there".

Islam and Hinduism, Jung believes, "are in the DNA of India".

"If any part of the DNA is infected, the body gets cancer. So both communities must see that they have a healthy relationship. That healthy relationship is critical for the motherland."

He said Justice SU Khan, one of the three judges who pronounced the verdict Thursday, had probably kept in mind the Prophet Mohammed's Hudaibiya peace treaty which he signed in the 7th century with then custodians of Kaabah, the holiest of the Muslim shrines in Makkah.

"The Prophet could have fought them to conquer Makkah. But his armies went back and he proposed that they will come peacefully. And the next year they did a peaceful Hajj and entire Makkah was theirs. That is the message of the Prophet. That is what Islam teaches us," the vice chancellor said, "wishing we could travel that extra distance today".

He said that the gesture of peace that Muslims "can make today will wash away all the complexes of the (1947) partition of India. That one gesture will wash away the charges of fundamentalism that a part of you is facing today".

The former civil servant said that there was an opportunity for Muslims "to convert this to a historic opportunity which nobody expects from you.

"But there has to be an equal display of maturity from the rightwing Hindu parties that are interested in building the temple."

He, however, cautioned against any "great demonstration of glee, gloating that we have won this case. There is no need for triumphalism".

He said in law two plus two necessary doesn't make four and "here both parties are dissatisfied".

"The point I am trying to make is that under the present judgment you cannot make anything grand, because what you are forgetting is that the judgment is only about 2.7 acres of land of which you are only getting two-thirds and Muslims only one-third. You can neither build a 'bhavya (grand) temple nor a bhavya mosque.

"There are 70 acres of land near the disputed site which is owned by the central government. Have you ever spoken of that? What can you make in two acres? But it is possible if both communities come together and talk, and tell the government to give us some or all of the land it owns, they can make anything - a magnificent temple, mosque and of course a magnificent history of India."

Verdict makes me feel like a 2nd-class citizen'

Verdict makes me feel like a 2nd-class citizen'

By Shobhan Saxena

New Delhi: The Ayodhya title suit was not just a dispute over a patch of land, it was being seen by many, particularly the minorities, as a test of India's commitment to secularism. So, did India pass the test successfully on Thursday? Though there are no shrill reactions to the verdict from the country's biggest minority group, there are many voices of disappointment.

Historian Irfan Habib feels the "compromise judgment" had come at the cost of history and facts. "It is improper (for the court) to accept the ASI report on the historical fact. Weight has been given to belief. One should be careful in historical facts," says Habib.

Though members of Muslim intelligentsia put up a brave face on TV channels, talking in politically-correct terms, in private, many accept that they see the verdict as "anti-Muslim". "The Muslims of India have been told very clearly that they have to live in this country on the terms set by the majority community. From now on we have to live in constant fear," says a former vice-chancellor of a central university.

But others are a bit more forthcoming. Shabnam Hashmi, well-known social activist who heads Sahmat, says the verdict made her feel like a "second-class citizen". "We will not stop the struggle against irrationality and hatred but we can no longer promise to hand over a secular, democratic nation to you," says Hashmi, in her "message to the next generation".

The Muslims are disappointed but they have not given up hope. And the verdict has not shaken their in the idea of India. "My sentiment about this judgment is in this couplet from Faiz. "Ye dil na umeed to nahi nakaam hi to hai, lambi hai gum ki sham magar sham hi to hai (The heart is despondent but not without hope, long is sorrows evening but its an evening after all)," says Syeda Hameed, a member of the Planning Commission.

Such poetic words notwithstanding, there are fears in the community that the right-wing Hindu fanatics may now start raising old issues of "liberation of Kashi and Mathura". "Today the Lucknow court put its stamp of approval on the destruction of Babri Masjid. Can anybody guarantee us that such incidents will not happen in the future? I guess not," says the former VC.

There is no palpable fear and tension on the streets and everybody is talking about "reconcilaition" and "moving on". This, according to some, is a sign of hope. "Despite the feeling of disappointment, this is an opportunity on both sides to use the interregnum before the time for appeals to talk," says Najeeb Jung, an academic from Jamia Milia Islamia. The Mulsims may be seeking a closure of the issue, but it's hard to deny that verdict has left them sad and disappointed.

Post-judgment, a chance for Hindus & Muslims to forge new ties - By Najeeb Jung

Post-judgment, a chance for Hindus & Muslims to forge new ties

By Najeeb Jung

After a wait of 61 years, the learned judges presented a cocktail of belief, history and jurisprudence in the Babri Masjid title suit. Wrestling with the expectations of society and influenced by their own beliefs the parts of the judgment revealed thus far manifest an attempt at statesmanship and matchmaking that go beyond the issues they were expected to adjudicate upon. As if on cue, the order is to divide the cake into three slices that may satisfy three expectant children. As expected the parties now prepare for petitioning the Supreme Court.
The question now is on the path forward. Should the matter go on to the SC where it will
perhaps be contested for a further two decades, and even then the outcome may only open sore wounds once again? Or should this be converted into an opportunity, resting upon the understanding that Hindus and Muslims are inherent to the DNA of India, and if parts of the DNA are mutually antagonistic the body turns cancerous? As I write, I comprehend the pain of large sections of Muslim society and the pain of millions of Hindus with regards the judgment. But the deed is done, and is it possible to turn this moment of doubt into one of historical significance when the two communities can forge a new relationship?
The answer, at least for Muslims, lies imbedded in Justice Khan's judgment where he quotes the Prophet's (peace be
upon him), treaty of Hubaida. The Muslim armies had encircled Mecca having converged on Mecca from all parts of Arabia to perform the first Haj. Undeniably, had a battle had taken place, the Muslims would have conquered Mecca and performed the Haj. This victory would not just be a military conquest over a powerful city, but a payback for the atrocities committed on the Prophet and his followers by the powerful Quraish tribe over the past two decades. But, in the midst of all the hysteria, the Prophet held talks with the Quraish. Much to the dismay and shock of the Muslims, he agreed to withdraw for a period of one year. At the conclusion of the year the Muslims would return for Haj without hindrance. No historic decision is ever easy, and the Prophet was questioned by no less than the tallest of his companions, the second Caliph, Hazrat Omar. The following year, the Muslims not only performed the Haj but were welcomed by the Meccans as their own!
The minorities anywhere are sensitive to being overwhelmed by the majority. And therefore there is an inherent zeal to protect their beliefs and culture. But in this case we are
aware that a very large section of the Hindu community realizes the ''majoritarian'' aspect of this judgment and sympathizes with the Muslims. To this end this judgment carries a hope that these two communities which have lived in this ancient land for over 1,000 years can now pray together. This moment presents an opportunity to the Muslim community to emerge from the shadows of history, the stigma of partition, the throes of fundamentalism and stand tall in the interest of the future generations and of the motherland itself.
But a word of caution is necessary. Because the judgment is being perceived as a ''majoritarian'' one, there is need for care on the part of the protagonists. Perceptions of glee and exaggerated cries of ''grand'' temple to be constructed will muddy the waters. The question of any construction is indeed a very complex one because the adjudicated site stands only on 2.77 acres of land of which one third is with the Muslims. Another 70 odd acres of adjoining land has been acquired and vests with the government. No ''grand'' temple or mosque can be constructed over less than 2 acres of land, and I believe sensing
this complexity, spokespersons of various political parties scurried for cover under the excuse of not having read the full judgment. Even if the matter of title is referred to the SC, this complexity shall remain.
Perhaps then it is sensible for the government to be more proactive than it has so far been in resolving this matter. This issue is more complicated than Kashmir or the Naxal issue by multiples. However, afraid of the political fallout, successive governments have not attempted a resolution, putting it on the shoulders of the courts. This judgment proves that it will now require a combination of political effort and the legal process if we are to see a peaceful resolution. Unfortunately knowing our system, one can safely presume
that the government will continue to play safe till it is forced into action. On that presumption we must rely on the greater sense of the people of India, the religious leaders and the intellectuals of all sections of society to look for a resolution. This is the need of the time. In the words of Iqbal:
Watan ki fikr kar nadaan musibat aane waali hai,
Teri barbaadiyon ke mashware hain aasmanon main,
Na samjoge to mit jaaoge e Hindustanwalon,
Tumhari dastan tak bhi na hogi daastanon main.
(Think for the country o fool, for disaster awaits, The skies speak of your tragedies Worry for the country, Or you will be wiped out)

"The Indian Muslims are like the twelfth player in a cricket team, who is kept simply as a 'reserve'. He is part of the team but is not brought out onto the field along with the other eleven players. He simply sits in the dressing room in the stadium. The Indian Muslim is like that. He is forced to sit in a corner. Ignored, indeed shunned, he spends his time praying that at least one of the eleven players gets hurt so that he can then be called into the field where he can display his talent and make his team win", observed Professor Akhtarul Wasey in an exclusive Interview with Yoginder Sikand.

Professor Akhtarul Wasey is the head of the Department of Islamic Studies and the Director of the Zakir Husain Institute of Islamic Studies at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Editor of three Islamic journals, and member of numerous Muslim committees and organisastions, he is the author of numerous books on issues related to Islam and Muslims. Excerpts:

Q: In pre-Partition late nineteenth and twentieth century India, the Muslim middle-class played a key role in providing leadership to the Indian Muslims in various spheres. This is in contrast to the situation, today. How do you account for this?

A: The Revolt of 1857 was a disaster as far as the Indian Muslims were concerned, and so was the Partition in 1947. But it also saw the emergence and development of the modern Muslim middle class, which proved to be a powerful motor for social change. This was best represented by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and the movement that he spawned. Not all of those who were influenced by, or agreed with, him on the need for modern education agreed with his pro-British politics. Indeed, some of them were forceful champions of both modern education as well as Indian independence. Raja Mahendra Pratap, head of the first Indian government in exile, was from the Aligarh school, as were other confirmed anti-imperialists such as Hasrat Mohani, Syed Mahmud, Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and the Ali brothers. It is true that many Aligarhians were vociferous supporters of the Muslim League and its Pakistan demand, but there were many others who were with the Congress and even with the Communist Party as well.

It was not just in politics that this new Muslim middle class, largely a product of Syed Ahmad Khan's Aligarh school, played a key role. It also made a powerful impact in the fields of literature, culture, and economic development.

But, with the Partition things changed drastically. It led to an exodus of a large section of the Indian Muslim middle-class that had been a crucial motor for social change to Pakistan. Their vested economic interests had made them firm backers of the Pakistan scheme, because they felt that there they would face no competition from the Hindus.

Partition was nothing short of a tragedy of momentous proportions for the Muslims, not just of India but of Pakistan as well. The Muslims who were left behind in India faced three choices. Firstly, they could forfeit all their rights since, as right-wing Hindutva forces argued, with the creation of Pakistan they had 'got their due'. Secondly, they could have the rights of 'tenants' as concessions, which is to say they could live in India but not be co-owners of it and would have no role in its development, because it 'belonged' to others. Thirdly, they could be equal citizens, with the same rights and duties as other Indians. This third view was, and still is, we must recognize, shared by a large number of Hindus. Indeed, the Indian Constitution gave numerous guarantees to all its minorities, including Muslims. This, we must never forget, was possible only in India. Despite all the provocations of the Hindutva forces and the opposition of some Hindus, the Indian leadership did not agree to declaring India a Hindu state, although it could easily have done that as a reaction to the creation of a so-called 'Islamic' Pakistan.

Q: But my question was about the role of the Muslim middle-class in providing leadership to the community at large.

A: I am coming to that point. In post-47 India, Muslims were faced with a unique predicament, one that they had never faced before. They were not a ruling community, but nor were they a ruled community. Rather, they were, in theory, co-rulers, along with other communities. This new status, which they had never enjoyed before, demanded a new sort of community leadership.

Our leaders have a host of issues to tackle, some of which they have failed to address at all. One of these is the lamentable level of Muslim representation in various government services. There is an urgent need for the government to turn its attention to this. It must also do away with the discriminatory provisions that deny Muslim (and Christian) Dalits Scheduled Caste status. Today, Muslim youth want to have their share in the country's development. They want to participate in the task of building the country. When you speak to government officials, they will tell you that Muslims have all the freedom to do so, but the ground realities are quite different. The Indian Muslims are like the twelfth player in a cricket team, who is kept simply as a 'reserve'. He is part of the team but is not brought out onto the field along with the other eleven players. He simply sits in the dressing room in the stadium. The Indian Muslim is like that. He is forced to sit in a corner. Ignored, indeed shunned, he spends his time praying that at least one of the eleven players gets hurt so that he can then be called into the field where he can display his talent and make his team win.

But, the point is, we Indian Muslims are no longer willing to be non-playing or 'reserve' players in the process of building our country. We demand to be included in the team. And, whenever and wherever we have been included, we have proven our mettle beyond any shade of doubt.

Q: To come back to my question, how do you think that the marginalization of the modern Muslim middle-class in the wake of the Partition, especially in north India, where the bulk of the Indian Muslims live, impacted on the nature of the Indian Muslim community leadership?

A: The vacuum created by the exodus of a sizeable section of the north Indian Muslim feudal and middle class was filled by the ulema of the traditional madrasas. Many of these ulema, particularly a large number of Deobandis, had forcefully opposed the Partition. They condemned the Pakistan scheme and the so-called 'two-nation theory' it was based on as un-Islamic. They were passionate advocates for a united India. Following the Partition, they sought to lead the community. They were also the only forces who were able to do so, as they had a strong base among the Muslim masses. The first task they were faced with was to set aside the fears of the Muslims who remained behind in India, to persuade them not to migrate to Pakistan, to rehabilitate tens of thousands who had been displaced in the violence in the wake of the Partition, and to help them build bridges with the rest of the Indian society. This task they did with considerable success, despite the grave odds they faced. One has only to go through the records of the Jamiat ul-Ulema-i Hind in the late 40s and early 50s to see how valiantly these ulema struggled to do all this.

Another issue of immense concern to the Muslims who stayed behind in India after the Partition were the threats to their religious and cultural identity and their religious institutions. The ulema gave a great deal of attention to this vital task. This is something that we just cannot ignore. We cannot ignore the immense sacrifices the ulema made at such a critical juncture in our history. It would be uncharitable to ignore all of this.

Different periods of history have their own requirements and their own priorities. So, from the mid-1960s onwards, you have the emergence of a different set of people who sought to lead the Muslims, including many non-ulema. Many of their demands were also different. This process was reflected, for instance, in the short-lived experiment of the Muslim Majlis, led by Dr. Faridi. At the same time, Hyderabad witnessed the growing influence of the Majlis-e Ittihadul Muslimeen, again a largely non-ulema Muslim formation. This was a time when the Muslims were coming out of their ghettos, less encumbered by the burden of the Partition that had been thrust on them. They were no longer mesmerized by the Congress, which had failed to protect their interests and even their lives.

Q: And what about today? How do you see the role of the Muslim middle-class in terms of leading the community in various fields?

A: The Muslim middle-class in western and southern India is way ahead of its counterpart in the north. In western and southern India, middle-class Muslims are providing a more progressive, socially-engaged and socially-relevant form of leadership. They have set up a large number of institutions for a variety of purposes. Opportunities to do so exist in other parts of the country, but the initiative for doing so is less marked. And, then, the state also often does not provide enough such opportunities. In many places, it prefers to build police stations rather than schools in Muslim localities.

Today, even in 'backward' north India, there is a visible demand for modern education among Muslims. In a sense, this was a consequence of the destruction of the Babri Masjid in 1992, when Muslims were forced to realize that their extreme backwardness on the educational front had rendered them weak and ineffective, bereft of influence in the corridors of power. If you go to any Muslim ghetto today, you will be surprised at the number of Muslim-run 'convent' or so-called 'English-medium' schools that flourish there. Some people quickly dismiss them as 'teaching-shops' of woeful quality. Admittedly, their standards may be low and may leave much to be desired, but, then, from quantity comes quality in due course. As a minority, we must strive even harder than others to achieve quality in our institutions, for only then will we gain the respect of others. And only then, of course, can we survive and thrive in the market, which is now characterized by such fierce competition.

Q: What, in your view, should be the main issues that Muslim leaders should concentrate on?

A: Economic and educational advancement should be top priorities of the emerging Muslim leadership. This does not, however, mean that we should ignore politics. Rather, we must be politically active, but in a sensible way. We can't, and shouldn't, go it alone in the political sphere. We have to work with others for common interests and concerns. Even on the issue of countering Islamophobia and the targeting of Muslims, it has been found that brave non-Muslim activists, such as Teesta Setalvad and Manisha Sethi (both women) can be better spokespeople for Muslims than many of our so-called leaders.

On this let me add a point that we tend not to think about. Just as non-Muslim fellow Indians like Teesta and Manisha and many others are struggling for justice to Muslims, we Muslims, too, must raise our voice for, and work for and with, non-Muslims who face similar problems—Dalits, workers, Adivasis, and so on. Our leadership must not remain obsessed with specifically 'Muslim' issues, very narrowly defined. We need to wholeheartedly participate in movements on general issues, issues that affect everyone, as well as in the movements of other marginalized people. Only then can we be in a position to give, rather than just take. Only then can we win the respect and regard of others. We can't keep demanding things and not helping others, or even ourselves. We have to recognize the urgent need to be much more inclusive and open.

Our Muslim organizations also need to be much more professional than they are. They cannot afford to carry on being individual-centric or starkly sectarian. The feudal ethos that characterizes most them is really appalling.

That said, I can somewhat understand why Muslim organizations tend to focus solely on Muslim-specific issues, although I do not condone this attitude. If your own house is on fire and our own life is under threat, you are simply unable to help others even if you want to. You can't expect me to come rushing to douse the flames engulfing your house if my house, too, is on fire.

Q: What do you feel about the Muslim media's role, if at all, in promoting a more relevant and progressive Muslim leadership?

A: It has done precious little at all in this regard. It has remained confined only to Muslim issues and has an impact only on some sections of the Muslims themselves. It does not have a wider, cross-community appeal or influence. Often, Muslim papers serve as vehicles for the personal economic and political interests of their owners and editors.

Q:
And what about Muslim elected representatives in the Parliament and state assemblies?

A: On the whole, they do not appear very vocal about Muslim issues. Maybe this is because they are bound to follow the whip of their political parties. They cannot be called 'Muslim' leaders unless they are elected from exclusively Muslim constituencies, and even then they would themselves not, and indeed should not, claim that they represent Muslims alone. We do, however, have a new breed of Muslim political leaders who might be able to play a more meaningful role in highlighting issues that concern Muslims—people such as Omar Abdullah, Mahmooda Mufti, Salman Khurshid, Rashid Alavi, Haroon Yusuf and so on. I don't expect or advocate that they should come on one platform and concern themselves solely with Muslim issues. After all, they are meant to respond to their constituencies, which include non-Muslims, too. However, I feel they should have a common minimum programme for the Muslim community across party lines. This programme should be based on the understanding that India's interests coincide with those of its Muslim citizens and that as long as Muslims remain backward the country as a whole cannot advance as it should.

Q: How do you account for the fact that while the ulema (despite their limitations) are deeply involved in community issues, middle-class Muslims (notable exceptions notwithstanding) are not?

A: Our university-educated Muslims are so engrossed in their own personal issues and concerns that they simply don't have any time for others. I think this seriously needs to be critiqued and changed. They, too, must be actively involved in community affairs, instead of leaving this task just to the ulema and some self-appointed Muslim politicians. I think universities such as the Aligarh Muslim University and the Jamia Millia Islamia must play a leading role in this regard. Their researchers must seriously study Muslim issues, to come up with prescriptions and to dialogue with agencies of the state and civil society groups. This is something that they have, I must say, largely failed to do.

Q: The lament is often heard that the ulema and modern-educated Muslim leaders and others are divided by a yawning gulf and that this dualism is a major problem that urgently needs to be solved. This is said to be one of the principal factors for the absence of a proper community leadership. What do you feel about this?

A: I think this issue of the divide between the 'old' and the 'new' systems of knowledge, represented by two different sets of leaders, is becoming increasingly irrelevant today. This is a very heartening development. We need both forms of education and both types of leaders. We need religious as well as modern education, because Islam is not just about the Hereafter. Rather, it gives equal stress to the this-world or duniya. As the Prophet Muhammad remarked, the world is the field of the Hereafter. This is to say, one will sow in the Hereafter what one reaps in this world. Islam stresses both worship (ibadat) and social affairs (muamilat).

The notion that in Islam there is a rigid distinction between 'religious knowledge' (ilm-e din) and 'worldly knowledge' (ilm-e duniya) is wholly tenable. It is the product of the period of Muslim decline. Admittedly, it has ruined us. The only distinction that Islam countenances in knowledge is between what is 'useful' (nafe) and 'useless' (ghair nafe). So insistent was the Prophet Muhammad that his followers should gain proper education that he even offered to release non-Muslim prisoners of war, taken in the aftermath of the battle of Badr, if they educated those of his followers who were illiterate, Now, these were no ordinary non-Muslims. Rather, they were fierce enemies of Islam and the Prophet, who had waged war against them. Obviously, not only did they know nothing about Islam, they were wholly against Islam. Naturally, therefore, what they taught the illiterate Muslims was not the Quran or the Hadith, but worldly knowledge, or what we today call 'secular' knowledge. So, if the Prophet considered this sort of knowledge perfectly legitimate, how can it be considered impermissible?

Let me end this by mentioning the Quranic story of the creation of Adam. When God told the angels that he was going to create Adam, the angels, who otherwise were always obedient to Him, objected. He asked them to explain the names of things, but they could not. However, Adam did so. Then, God ordered the angels to bow down before Adam. Accordingly, the rule was established that those who do not know must always defer to those who do. God decided this on the very day Adam was created. This is why till Muslims 'knew', till they embraced and promoted all forms of useful knowledge, others respected them. But, ever since they stopping 'knowing' and began wallowing in ignorance, they were forced to be subordinate to others. So, if today Muslims find themselves bowing before others, it is their own fault for having abandoned the pursuit of knowledge.

Hence, we must stop blaming others for all our ills and realize that for much of our present sorry plight we are ourselves responsible. The point, therefore, is that the pursuit of knowledge, including what is called 'secular' knowledge is indispensable if we Muslims are to drag ourselves from out of the morass we find ourselves stuck in today—not just in India, but all across the globe.

Shakil Ahmed Khan

A tribute to Shakil saheb by Zubair Irshad

Shakil Ahmed Khan defeated by death this morning (April 7, 2010)
I still remember when I first met Shakil Ahmed Khan in 2008 during PMP seminar organized by JMI Alumni in Dubai.

The man with white beard, sharp eyes, impressive voice & intellectual mind was more than enough to impress any one.
I wasn’t aware that one day I will be working with him.
While working for a consultancy in Abu dhabi, affected by world economic crisis in 2009, I got a call from him to come & meet.
He asked me to provide me of my knowledge of project management to his company Scantec international during weekend.
I agreed & went back to Abu dhabi till I got another call from him to leave everything & join his team urgently.
I pause for a while because there was a huge difference between working in a consultancy & suddenly leave it to join a contractor specialized in a different field!
On his insistence I agreed.
This was the first time when I got an opportunity to face him on daily basis.
I found him younger than me when it comes to energy level & thirst for work.
I used to sit, watch & listen carefully to whatever he used to say as every word came out from his mouth contain knowledge, compassion for work & determination to achieve anything fruitful.
It was the first time I met a person who almost hate the word “impossible”.
The project was a real mess & company has failed miserably on financial ground, but he was determined to take everything back from the jaws of defeat, not because he wants money!
Because he wants to safeguard the financial interest of other people who trusted him.
Suffering from multiple illness, hyper on various issues all of a sudden, saddened by the attitude of people he trusted but faith in ALLAH & his hard work to regain everything back, was the main motive of his hard work at the age of 70+.
He shared many secrets with me & many times his pain came out from his eyes, he try to wipe them out but I can read what actually was there!
I have seen the fighter who has won many battles in his life but struggling right in front of me because of the misuse of his generosity by many.
I remember, he used to say…..
Shakil khan will never run away, he will remain there to work like he used to work before, so that, even if he died then people if not say then to admit that he died while working for others.
I have seen him laughing, shouting, negotiating, counseling & crying.
He was the victim of his own, a person hardly understood but manipulated by many.
He mentioned to me more than once about Jalil bhai, the only person I think he respect too much.
His pain for Jalil bhai was prominent because Jalil bhai was the reason of his entry in UAE & he blames himself for being unlucky for him.
He went up in his career because of him & Jalil bhai came down & lost many things because of him.
He was un doubtfully an authority to his work & well known person in Dubai when it comes to power transmission lines for many years before taking a dip.
Due to high sugar I advice him to bring something light from home to eat as junk food may further spoil his health.
He used to bring apple/pear & a sandwich but he never forgets to offer me one piece of apple & some time half of the sandwich, whether iam there or not on my seat.
It is nothing but shows how much he cares for those he loves.
He was proud of his son & daughter because both have exceeds his expectation & still was there when he needs them.
He has lived his life according to him, most of the time at his terms & conditions, seen many things in life but what he was into is the worse phase.
He said this not because of difficulty level but because of his falling health & uncertainty.
He used to shout & tell many employees that if he is there, they can hope, if he dies then forget everything.
I had no doubt in what he said because we all were fighting a lost battle since dues become enormous & there was no sign of payment from Nakheel as one of the biggest problem.
He was honest in his deal, straight in his words but some time his pause while talking made me realize that he knows the fact but hiding from all so that his team shouldn’t give up.
He was generous in giving & that was his fault as the world has another approach for such kind people.
He was the victim of his generosity, straightforwardness & outspoken nature.
He was very positive approach to achieve results as he always won & wanted to win.
He gifted me two of his books (The inheritance & Ghibah, back biting) & was working on his third book “time management” & wasn’t aware of the truth that he is running of time.
I spend hours & hours listening to him till 18.01.10 before went to Abu Dhabi once again.
I spoke to him on telephone many times since after & emails too.
The last email I sent on 06.04.10 & was expecting a reply early in the morning when I get a call about his demise.
Was saddened by this news as I know the fighter lost the battle this time.
It will be very difficult for me to forget him as he will always remain alive in my heart.

Muslim Condemn SC verdict on beard

Muslims condemn SC verdict on beard
Submitted by admin on 1 April 2009 - 1:22am.

By Abdul Hameed, TwoCircles.net

Mumbai: That Supreme Court rejected the plea of a student who sought permission for sporting beard in his school has sent a wave of anger among the Muslims. The All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat (AIMMM) has expressed its dismay at the observation of the judge.
Maulana Mahmood Daryabadi, general secretary of All Indian Ulama Council, while talking to TwoCircles.net called the decision ‘sorrowful’ and said, ‘The verdict is the result of the judges being influenced by the propaganda of communal elements against Islam. No one has the right to interfere in religious affairs. Muslims are duty bound to grow beard and therefore those not doing so consider themselves to be sinful.’ He asked if there was no objection on namaz (prayers) then why on beard.
Supreme Court judge Markandeya Katju speaking for a bench headed by justice Raveendran on Monday rejected the petition filed by Saleem Ahmad, student of a minority school in Madhya Pradesh and said that SC can not allow Talibanism in the country. He added can SC allow if tomorrow a girl student comes and seeks permission for putting on burqa?
In a statement Mushawarat strongly objected to the use of the world ‘talibanisation’ by the judge. “A Muslim’s request to be allowed to grow beard cannot be equated as “Talibanisation” of the country,” read the statement by Muslim umbrella body.
Markandeya claimed that he is secular to its core but he said that religious beliefs should not be overstretched.
The advocate of Mohammed Saleem, B A Khan had said that the student be allowed to grow beard as it was mandatory upon every Muslim as per their religion.
But Markandeya said that as per the section 30 of Indian Constitution every minority institution is entitled to make laws and run heir institutions accordingly. Every student of the institute must abide by its regulations.
‘The rule of the institution contradicts the Constitution that provides complete freedom to ever citizen to practice his religion. To grow beard is religious obligations upon Muslims. Why there is no objection on Sikhs keeping beard? This should not be an issue rather Muslims should be given complete freedom in a secular country,’ said Haroon Mozawala, general secretary of Khair-e-Ummat Trust.
Dr Zafarul-Islam Khan, President of the AIMMM, said that it is very unfortunate that a Supreme Court judge should nurse such biased and communal ideas and hide behind his claim that he is “a secularist to the core”. Our idea of secularism does not deny religious people their right to abide by their religion in a peaceful way which does not hurt anyone else in any way. Rather, true secularism means that the State will not have an official religion and that it will not interfere in the religious beliefs of its citizens.
The media spokesperson of Jamiat-e-Ulama-e-Maharashtra Gulzar Ahmad Azmi said, ‘The decision is utterly wrong. The organizations taking care of Muslim issues especially All India Muslims Personal Law Board should be concerned about it. We should challenge the decision issued by the two-member bench before a three-member of five-member bench of judges because it directly harms our basic rights.’
AIMMM is planning an appeal against the judgment.

Israeli Soldiers:We are creating suicide bombers

Israeli soldier: Most of the Israeli public and much of the media is blind to the fact that hundreds of Palestinians have been cut to pieces by Israeli fire power
Chris McGreal in Tel Aviv
The Guardian, Saturday 17 January 2009
Article history

The call came at 11pm on a Saturday. Yitzchak Ben moc-ha's mobile flashed up "unidentified number" but he knew who it was. A recorded voice ordered him to report for duty at eight the next morning. As he packed his uniform he wondered if he was heading to prison. The 25-year-old paratrooper was about to tell his commanders that not only would he refuse to join Israel's war in Gaza but would not serve in any capacity that helped perpetuate the conflict.
He reported for duty and was ordered to erect tents for combat soldiers.
"I told my officer, I am not going to do this. The next morning I was sent home. They told me they'd call me again if there was need. They have not called yet. In the past the army used to put refuseniks in jail for weeks. When they were released, sometimes they would be arrested again and this would go on for months.
"But now it seems the army doesn't want to admit publicly there are refuseniks. [It] is embarrassed. It would go against the image of the whole army and country united behind this war."
The Israeli military has told the press there is so much support for the assault on Gaza that more soldiers have turned up to fight than have been called up for what the local media is characterising as a "righteous war". Ben moc-ha says that obscures the increasing number of Israeli men of fighting age, almost all of whom are military reservists, who are refusing to serve the occupation.
One resisters' organisation, Courage to Refuse, published a newspaper advert condemning the killing of hundreds of Palestinian civilians and calling on soldiers to refuse to fight in Gaza. "The brutal, unprecedented violence in Gaza is shocking. The false hope that this kind of violence will bring security to Israelis is all the more dangerous. We cannot stand aside while hundreds of civilians are being butchered by the IDF [Israel Defence Force]," it said.
But it is not clear how many have refused to go to Gaza, because the army is sending people home, quietly. So far, only one reservist has been jailed for refusing to fight. No'em Levna, a first lieutenant in the Israeli army, was sent to a military prison for 14 days. "Killing innocent civilians cannot be justified," he said. "Nothing justifies this kind of killing. It is Israeli arrogance based on logic. It's saying, 'if we hit more, everything will be okay'. But the hatred and anger we are planting in Gaza will rebound on us."
Ben moc-ha is hardly a pacifist or anti-Israeli. He grew up in a Jewish orthodox family, attended a religious school, and served full-time in one of Israel's elite combat parachute units.
He says he joined the Israeli army believing he would be fighting "terror organisations". He found himself suppressing Palestinian aspirations for freedom and putting down protests of Palestinian farmers "against the incontinent theft of their lands". He also saw abuses, such as Israeli troops sending Palestinian women and children into houses to ensure they were not booby-trapped, and using civilians as human shields.
"I am not a pacifist. I recognise the necessity of Israel to have a strong defensive army but I'm no longer going to play a part in 40 years of occupation. I told the army I will report for training so that I can always be ready to defend Israel, but attacking Gaza and perpetuating occupation is not defending Israel."
That is not a popular view in a country where worship of the military begins in school and many political leaders are former generals. But the war is likely to strengthen the resisters once Israelis can reflect on the scale of the killing.
In 2003, the army sent Yoni Ben Artzi to prison for 18 months for declaring himself a conscientious objector. Ben Artzi, the nephew of Binyamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister favoured to return to power in the next general election, was called before a "conscience committee", made up just of military officers. It said he was not a pacifist - on the remarkable grounds that his persistent resistance to the army was evidence of the qualities of a soldier.
He spent longer in jail than any other refusenik, but recently the military has preferred to pretend simply that dissenters don't exist - as hundreds of soldiers and reservists signed petitions refusing to enforce the occupation.
The government was particularly embarrassed when 27 pilots said they would no longer carry out killings of Palestinian leaders in Gaza, and when a group of elite commandos refused to serve in the occupied territories.
Still that remains a minority view. "Some of my comrades from the army don't like what I'm thinking. Some said they don't agree but they support my right to say it. But now, with the war, they say I'm giving my unit a bad reputation," said Ben moc-ha.
He is disturbed that most of the Israeli public and much of the media is blind to the fact that hundreds of Palestinians have been cut to pieces by Israeli fire power. "In the long run, it's not a war of defence. We are creating a thousand suicide bombers for the future from the brothers of the dead, the sons of the dead ... in the long term, we are creating more terror. You can't separate the war in Gaza from the fact that the Palestinian nation is under occupation for more than 40 years. I'm not justifying Hamas firing rockets but we Israelis should first look at what we are doing."

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) & Kalki Avatar-Vedas

Following information has been cut & paste from a source mention in the end of article.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied in Bhavishya Purana with nearly similar name ‘MAHAMAD’ and description.

See the second line in the above extract

“A malechha (belonging to a foreign country and speaking foreign language) spiritual teacher will appear with his companions. His name will be Mahamad. Raja (Bhoj) after giving this Mahadev Arab (of angelic disposition) a bath in the 'Panchgavya' and the Ganges water, (i.e. purging him of all sins) offered him the presents of his sincere devotion and showing him all reverence said, 'I make obeisance to thee.' 'O Ye! the pride of mankind, the dweller in Arabia, Ye have collected a great force to kill the Devil and you yourself have been protected from the malechha opponents (idol worshipers, pagans).' ‘O Ye! the image of the Most Pious God the biggest Lord, I am a slave to thee, take me as one lying on thy feet.'
"Bhavishya Puran,’ (literally meaning future events).

Description:
This extact from veda below Muhammad by name is found in Prati Sarg Parv III: 3, 3, Verse 5The Prophecy clearly states:
(i) The name of the Prophet as Muhammad.
(ii) He will belong to Arabia; the Sanskrit word Marusthal means a sandy track of land or a desert.
(iii) Special mention is made of the companions of the prophet i.e. the Sahabas. No other Prophet had as many companions as Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
(iv) He is referred as the pride of mankind (Parbatis nath). The Glorious Qur’an reconfirms:“And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character”(Al Qur’an 68:4)
(v) He will kill the devil i.e. abolish idol worship and all sorts of vices.
(vi) The prophet will be protected against his enemies. Some people may argue that Raja Bhoj mentioned in the prophecy lived in the 11th century C.E.i.e. 500 years after the advent of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and that he was the descendant of the 10th generation of Raja Shalivahan. These people fail to realize that there was not only one Raja of the name Bhoj. The Egyptian Monarchs were called as Pharaohs and the Roman Kings were known as Caesars. Similarly Indian Rajas were given the title of Bhoj.
There were several Raja Bhojs who came before the one in 11th Century C.E.
The prophet did not physically take a bath in Panch gavya and the water of Ganges.
Since the water of Ganges is considered holy, taking bath in the Ganges is an idiom meaning washing away or making immune from all sorts of sins.
Here the prophecy implies that prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sinless i.e. ‘maasoom’.According to Bhavishya Purana in the Pratisarag Parv III, Khand 3, Adhyay 3 Shalokas 10 to 27 Maharishi Vyas has prophesied:
“The Malechha have spoiled the well-known land of the Arabs. Arya Dharma is not to be found in the country.
Before also there appeared a misguided fiend whom I had killed;
he has now again appeared being sent by a powerful enemy.
To show these enemies the right path and to give them guidance the well-known Mohamad (Mohammad) who has been given by me, the epithet of Brahma, is busy in bringing the ‘Pishachas’ to the right path. O Raja, you need not go to the land of the foolish Pishachas, you will be purified through my kindness even where you are. At night, he of the angelic disposition, the shrewd man, in the guise of a pischacha said to Raja Bhoj, O Raja! Your Arya Dharma has been made to prevail over all religions,
but according to the commandments of Ishwar Parmatama, I shall enforce the strong creed of the meat eaters. My followers will be men circumcised, without a tail (on his head), keeping beard, creating a revolution announcing Adhan (call for prayer) and will be eating all lawful things.
He will eat all sorts of animals except swine.
They will not seek purification from the holy shrubs, but will be purified through warfare.
On account of their fighting the irreligious nations, they will be known as Musalmaans.
I shall be the originator of this religion of the meat-eating nation.”The Prophecy states that
(i) The evildoers have corrupted the Arab land.
(ii) Arya Dharma is not found in that land.
(iii) The present enemies will be destroyed just as the previous enemies like Abraha had perished. The Qur’an speaks about these sorts of previous enemies in Surah Al Fil (Al Qur’an 105:1-5)
(iv) Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has been given the title Brahma to guide the opponents of truth.
(v) The Indian Raja need not go to Arab land since his purification will take place in India after the Musalmaan will arise in India.
(vi) The coming Prophet will attest the truth of the Aryan faith i.e. Monotheism and will reform the misguided people.
(vii) The Prophet’s followers will be circumcised. They will be without a tale on their heads, they will keep beards and they will create a great revolution.
(viii) They will announce the adhan i.e. ‘call for prayer’.
(ix) He will only eat lawful things and animals, but will not eat pork.
The Qur’an confirms this in no less than 4 different places:
In Surah Al-Baqarah chapter 2 verse 173
In Surah Al-Maidah chapter 5 verse 3
In Surah Al-Anam chapter 6 verse 145
In Surah Al-Nahl Chapter 16 verse 115
“Forbidden for you for food are dead meat, blood, flesh of swine and that on which had been invoked the name of other than Allah.
(x) They will not purify with grass like the Hindus, but by means of sword they will fight the evil-doers.
(xi) They will be called Musalmaan.
(xii) They will be a meat-eating nation.
The Qur’an permits humans to eat herbivorous animals in Surah Maidah chapter 5 verse no. 1 and in Surah Mu’minoon chapter 23 verse 21
(xiii) CommentaryAccording to Bhavishya Purana Part – III, khand 1, Adhyay 3, shlokas 21-23Corruption and persecution are in seven sacred cities of Kashi etc.
India is inhabited by Rakshas, Shabar, Bhil and other foolish people.
In the land of ‘Malechhas’ the followers of the ‘Malechah dharma’ (Islam) are wise and brave people.
All good qualities are found in Musalmaans and all sorts of vices have accumulated in the land of the Aryas. Islam will rule in India and its island. Having known these facts O Meeni, glorify the name of the Lord”.

FOREWORD
On the question of the existence of God, it may seem, that the world is divided into two camps. The minor camp, of those who do not believe in the existence of God, is growing in size rather rapidly. The major camp, of those who do believe in the existence of God, is riddled with an endless variety of mutual rivalry and is shrinking in size faster than ever.
Consequently, the squabble goes on and a third camp, that of the agnostics, is growing monstrously and is snatching away control of all aspects of human life from the two older, war-weary camps.
The 'news' and description of God, has come to us through men who hold an outstanding position in our spiritual life. These men are known by ordinary men, sometimes as saints, sometimes as sages, at other times as prophets, and yet other times as God Himself in the garb of a man. Obviously, the description of God in each case varies, from a metaphysical, and more correctly, from an ontological point of view. We may thus find that the adherents of each of these great men are busy exhausting all their skills in the defence of their masters, and producing tons of literature to overwhelm those who do not 'toe the line'.
Therefore, although it may seem that the fight is to establish which of these descriptions is correct, (or more correct), the real undercurrent is to tell everyone WHICH OF THESE GREAT MEN IS NUMBER ONE. God certainly does not show up in His actual form to us. Even when, for arguments sake, He takes the form of Jesus or Krishna or Rama, no one can deny that He is hiding His real form. Therefore, the beholder has no other recourse but to accept the claim on behalf of this MAN, because the eye has seen nothing but the MAN. So, the man giving the news about God, in a queer sense, occupies a bigger position in our lives than God Himself.
We human beings can never come to a conclusion on this matter, on the basis of our limited knowledge and the power of judgement that we can muster. So, in trying to upgrade our MAN, it may turn out to be a case of downgrading our God. God, certainly wouldn't like to be downgraded. He knows we are believers, and as such, He is Merciful to us. He has His own sure way of telling us who among these men is NUMBER ONE. The importance of this question is ever so closely intertwined with the final question of the Essence and Attributes of God. This is the isthmus, the bridge, linking man and God. To wit, if this question is not resolved, the camp of the believers is bound to be denuded even further, in the face of the 'enormous success' of Materialism, supported spiritually by Agnosticism and morally by Existentialism.
Dr. Ved Prakash Upaddhayaya's research on this question, and the resulting conclusions he has drawn from the Indian and the Semitic scriptures, will go a long way in enlightening our minds, and in freeing our hearts from all the torments and agony.
I want to acknowledge a couple of defects in my presentation of Dr. Upaddhayaya's important work. Firstly, I have not translated it from his original Hindi. My translation is based on its Bengali rendering by Professor Ashit Kumar Bandhopaddhayaya. Secondly, due to lack of resources, I had to leave out the Sanskrit quotations which have been referred to in his work. I have however, made an honest effort to see that the force of his argument is neither lost nor exaggerated. As far as the Sanskrit quotations are concerned, they are only helpful to those who can read Sanskrit. For them, as well as for those who want to cross-check against a genuine translation of the Indian scriptures, the reference number of every verse is included. In this regard there is a total dependency on the accuracy of the Bengali version of his work.

INTRODUCTION
A strong desire and ambition to undertake research in historical matters has always been close to my heart. It is a proven fact that Muhammad fits the description of the Ultimate Sage, whose coming has been prophesied in the Vedas, the Bible and the Buddhist scriptures. My heart was therefore aroused with the inspiration that TRUTH must be revealed, even though it could be distasteful to some people.
In the period prior to Muhammad, Indians and Arabs had the same religion. Many proofs to that still exist. But this is not the right place to go into that. I am not in favour of religious narrow-mindedness. I do not have the audacity to reject truth, regardless of where it comes from.
The Vedas have prophesied about the coming of a sage who will ride on camel-back, will have twelve wives and whose name will be Narashangsa. Shayana has given the meaning of Narashangsa as one who is praised by men. But as a result of my analysis I find it difficult to agree with Shayana. In my opinion Narashangsa indicates a person whose very name means 'The Praised'. The Arabic word Muhammad means 'The Praised'. Therefore Narashangsa and Muhammad are synonymous. In the rest of the book I have endeavoured sincerely to reveal this truth.

BENGALI TRANSLATOR'S INTRODUCTION
The Creator and Sustainer of the Universe is One and has no second. Only He is worthy of praise. Only He is worthy of worship. He is the Lord of the Worlds. For the well-being of human beings, in this world and the next, and to give them guidance to the true path, He has sent Messengers in every age and every land. But some ignorant people of India think that the Lord's Messengers, sages and great men are sent only to India, in spite of the fact that the Aryans themselves came from countries outside India and the Vedas are the religious scriptures of non-Indian Aryans. The real truth is, that whenever abominations and irreligious practices get out of hand and previous scriptures become corrupted, God sends new Messengers and reveals new scriptures. Those who reject the new Messengers and the new scriptures and thus follow the superstitions blindly, go headlong towards their doom. On the other hand, those who accept such Messengers and obey the new scriptures, attain the true path.
If the current scriptures of the world are examined closely, it will become evident that some of them remained dormant and some others were kept hidden from the eyes of men for hundreds, even thousands of years. The Aryans had forbidden the reading of and listening to the Vedas for the non-Aryans. Under the attack of the enemies, the Bible had disappeared from the face of the earth. That is why the followers of various religions had expressed doubts about the validity of their own scriptures. But the Qur'an is a unique scripture in this regard in that it has never been out of sight for even a day. If the other scriptures of the world are destroyed, it will be impossible to recover them. But millions of those, who have memorised the thirty parts of the vast Qur'an, are available all the time. That is why this book remained intact and uncorrupted for fourteen hundred years. No book in the world can face up to this challenge of the Qur'an. Truly speaking, only the Qur'an can claim to be the immutable and eternal message from the Lord.
India as well as the whole world is all ears about the coming of Kalki Avatar - the last great man. Various scriptures have mentioned him in various ways. Many identifications of this great man have been described. He has been mentioned in many places of our own Vedas and the Puranas. Muslims say : this last great man of the Kalki period is Muhammad.
According to the research of Dr. Ved Prakash Upaddhayaya, Muhammad has been described in the Vedas and the Puranas in four different ways. Firstly, as Narashangsa or 'the Praised'. This has been described as the meaning of the word Muhammad. Secondly, as Antim Rishi - the Final Sage. The Qur'an also declares Muhammad as the final Messenger. Thirdly, as Kalki Avatar, i.e he will be the sage for the last period. Muhammad has surely arrived in the present Kalki period. Fourthly, Muhammad has been mentioned in the Vedas by name. Therefore, from all four points of view, it is Muhammad, who is being pointed out.
In this connection, Dr. Ved Prakash Upaddhayaya has published three research works - (1) Narashangsa and the Antim Rishi, (2) Kalki Avatar and Muhammad, and (3) Religious unity in the light of the Vedas and the Puranas. I have combined the three in my Bengali translation and have named it as 'Muhammad in the Vedas and the Puranas'.
Upon my special request the publisher has published the book with great care. I am very pleased to see the book, and consider it as my real manuscript. I bestow all rights to this literature in favour of the publisher.
Let there be an awakening for true knowledge. Let there be a closer friendship and amity between the Hindus and the Muslims. May God give everyone the courage to accept TRUTH without hesitation. With these good wishes I want to conclude my views on the matter .

Locations where Prophet Muhammad is prophesied with description in Vedas
In the 20th book of Atharva Veda Hymn-127, some Suktas (chapters) are known as ‘kuntap sukt’. ‘Kuntap’ means ‘the consumer of misery and troubles', thus meaning ‘the message of peace and safety’. This translated in Arabic means Islam.‘Kuntap’ also means hidden glands in the abdomen. These mantras are probably called so because their true meaning was hidden and was to be revealed in future.
Its hidden meaning is also connected with the naval or the middle point of the earth.
Makkah is called the ‘ummul Qura’, or ‘the mother of the towns’ or ‘the naval of the earth’ in many revealed books.
It was the first house of worship of the One God where Almighty God gave spiritual nourishment to the world. The Glorious Qur’an says:
“The first House (of worship) appointed for menwas that at Bakka (Makkah) full of blessingand of guidance for all kinds of beings.”(Al Qur’an 3:96)
Another name for Makkah is Becca.
Thus ‘kuntap’ stands for Makkah or Becca.Several people like M. Bloom Field, Prof Ralph Griffith, Pandit Rajaram, Pandit Khem Karan and others have translated these kuntap suktas.
The main points mentioned in the kuntap suktas in Atharvaved book 20 Hymn 127 verses 1-13 are:
Mantra 1
He is narashansah or the praised one (Mohammad).
He is Kaurama the prince of peace or the emigrant, who is safe even amongst a host of 60,090 enemies.
Mantra 2.
He is a camel-riding Rishi, whose chariot touches the heaven.
Mantra 3.
He is Mamah Rishi.Mantra 4Vachyesv rebh ‘Oh! Ye who glorifies.’
Mantra 14
We glorify or praise the great hero with a song of praise and a prayer. Please accept this praise so that evil may not befall us.
(i) The Sanskrit word ‘Narashansah’ means ‘the praised one’ which is the literal translation of the Arabic word Muhammad (pbuh).
The Sanskrit word ‘Kaurama’ means ‘one who spreads and promotes peace’. The holy Prophet was the ‘prince of peace’ and he preached equality of human kind and universal brotherhood. ‘Kaurama’ also means ‘an emigrant’. The Prophet migrated from Makkah to Madeenah and was thus an emigrant.
(ii) He will be protected from 60,090 enemies, which was the population of Makkah.
The prophet would ride a camel.
This clearly indicates that, it cannot be an Indian Rishi since it is forbidden for a Brahman to ride a camel.
According to Manu Smriti chapter 11 verse 202 sacred books of the east, volume 25, Laws of Manu pg. 472 “A Brahman is prohibited from riding a camel or an ass and to bathe naked.
He should purify himself by suppressing his breath”.
(iii) This mantra gave the Rishi name as Mamah.
No Rishi in India or any other prophet had this name. ‘Mamah’ is derived from ‘Mah’ which means to esteem highly, or to revere, and to exalt. Some Sanskrit books give the prophet’s name as ‘Mahamad’ but this word according to Sanskrit grammer can also be used in the bad sense. It is incorrect to apply grammar to an Arabic word.
Actually Mamah has the same meaning and somewhat similar pronunciation as the word Muhammad (pbuh).
It is mentioned is Atharvaveda Book 20 hymn 21, verse 6:
“O Lord of the truthful! These liberators drinks, these feats of bravery and the inspiring songs gladdened thee in the field of battle. When thou renderst vanquished without fight the ten thousand opponents of the praying one, the adoring one.”
(i) This Prophecy of the Veda describes the well-known battle of Ahzab or the battle of the Allies during the time of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).
The Prophet was victorious without an actual conflict, which is mentioned in the Qur’an:“When the believers saw the confederate forces they said:
This is what Allah and his Messenger had promised us,and Allah and His Messenger told us what was true.”And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience.(Al Qur’an 33:22)
(ii) The Sanskrit word ‘karo’ in the Mantra means the ‘Praising one’ which when translated into Arabic means Ahmed, the second name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
(iii) The 10,000 opponents mentioned in the mantra were the enemies of the prophet and the Muslims were only 3000 in number.
(iv) The last words of the Mantra ‘aprati ni bashayah’ means the defeat was given to the enemies without an actual fight.e.
The enemies defeat in the conquest of Makkah. It is mentioned in Atharva Veda book 20 Hymn 21 verse no. 9.“You have O Indira overthrown 20 kings and 60,099 men with an outstripping chariot wheel who came to fight the praised one or far famed (Muhammad) Orphan”
(i) The population of Makkah at the time of Prophet’s advent was nearly 60,000.
(ii) There were several clans in Makkah each having its own chief. Totally there were about 20 chiefs to rule the population of Makkah.
(iii) An ‘Abandhu’ meaning a ‘helpless man’ who was far famed and ‘Praised one’ [Muhammad (pbuh)] overcame his enemies with the help of God.
A similar prophecy is also found in Rigveda Book I, Hymn 53 verse 9.The Sanskrit word used is ‘Sushrama’ which means praiseworthy or well praised which in Arabic means Muhammad (pbuh).g. Muhammad (pbuh) did not drink his mother’s milk.
It is mentioned in
(i) Samveda Agni, mantra 64 (S.V. m-64)
(ii) Samveda Book 1 chapter 2, decade 2, verse 2 (S.V. 1:2:2:2)
The habits of this child are very strange.
He does not go to his mother for milk, his mother does not feed him milk and yet as soon as he is born he takes up the noble assignment of prophet hood”.
Muhammad (pbuh) was an orphan and thus none of the wet nurses were interested in taking care of him.
On the other hand, no mother was willing to give her child to Lady Halima because she did not seem to have enough milk.
Thus Lady Halima took Muhammad (pbuh) home for breast-feeding, and as soon as she began to breast-feed Muhammad (pbuh), there was a surge of milk in her breasts.
h. Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied by name as Ahmed
(i) Samveda Uttararchika, mantra 1500(Samveda Part 2 Book 7 chapter 1 section 5 verse 1) and(ii) Samveda Indra chapter 2 mantra 152(Samveda Book 2 chapter 2 decade 1 verse 8)Similarly he has been prophesied by name as Ahmed in
(iii) Yajurveda chapter 31 verse 18
(iv) Rigveda Book 8 hymn 6 verse 10
(v) Atharvaveda Book 8 chapter 5 verse 16
(vi) Atharvaveda Book 20 chapter 126 verse 14Muhammad (pbuh) has prophesied by name as Ahmed also in Samveda Uttararchik mantra 1500 Part II Book VII chapter 1 section 5 verse 1 and Samved Indra chapter 2 mantra 152 Book 2 chapter 2 decade 1 verse 8)“
Ahmed acquired from his Lord the knowledge of eternal law. I received light from him just as from the sun”. The Prophecy confirms –
(i) The name of the Prophet as Ahmed. Since Ahmed is an Arabic name, many translators misunderstood it to be Ahm at hi and translated the mantra as I alone have acquired the real wisdom of my father.
(ii) The Prophet was given eternal law i.e. Shari’ah.
(iii) The Rishi was enlightened by the Shari’ah of Prophet Muhammad. The Glorious Qur’an says in Surah Saba:
“We have not sent thee but as a universal(Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidingsand warning them (against sin), but most menunderstand not.”(Al Qur’an 34:28)EATING OF MEAT & LAWFUL THINGS, BEARD KEEPER AND ANOUNCING FOR PRAYER (ADAN)*
“At night, he of the angelic disposition, the shrewd man, in the guise of a Pishacha said to Raja Bhoj, "O Raja! Your Arya Dharma has been made to prevail over all religions, but according to the commandments of ‘Ishwar Parmatma (God, Supreme Spirit),
I shall enforce the strong creed of the meat-eaters.” (Bhavishya Puran)
It is also clear that Kalki Avtar will be meat eater, while in Hindu Dharma meat eating is prohibited.
So it is clear that Kalki Avtar will not be from Hindu Dharma. Some people may argue that ‘Raja’ Bhoj mentioned in the prophecy lived in the 11th century C.E. 500 years after the advent of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and was the descendant in the 10th generation of Raja Shalivahan. These people fail to realise that there was not only one Raja of the name Bhoj. The Egyptian Monarchs were called as Pharaoh and the Roman Kings were known as Caesar, similarly the Indian Rajas were given the title of Bhoj. There were several Raja Bhoj who came before the one in 11th Century C.E.)* “My follower will be a man circumcised, without a tail (on his head), keeping beard, creating a revolution, announcing call for prayer (Adan) and will be eating all lawful things. He will eat all sorts of animals except swine”. (Bhavishya Puran)In Hindu Dharam Pundits or Brahmins keeps the tail on their heads, while according to Hindu Scripture Kalki will be without tail and on the contrary, he will be keeping the beard, it is well known that it is the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to keep the beard. And only in Islam, Muslims call for prayer during their Adan before Namaz (prayer). In Islam all lawful things and animals are allowed or Halal, while, swine or pork is prohibited (Haram) by God. According to Quran (5.88) “Eat of the lawful and good things, which Allah has provided you.” And (2.173)
“He has forbidden you the dead blood, and the flesh of swine”)
KALKI AVTAR WILL BELONG TO COMMUNITY KNOWN AS MUSALMAANS (or MUSLIMS)* "They will not seek purification from the holy shrubs, but will be purified through warfare (Jihad). Because of their fighting the irreligious nations, they will be known as Musalmans (Muslims). I shall be the originator of this religion of the meat-eating nation." (Bhavishya Puran)This indication has clearly proved that the Kalki Avtar is none other than Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), because the Nation or Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is known as Muslims or Musalman.NAME* The Sanskrit word used is Sushrama, which means praiseworthy or well praised which in Arabic means Muhammad (PBUH). [Rigveda Book I, Hymn 53 verse 9]Another name of Prophet Muhammad is AHMED, no other prophet had this name except prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as Prophet Esa (PBUH) also gave the indication of a Messenger to his nation, who will come after him and his name will be AHMED. According to Quran (61.6)"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be AHMED.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'this is evident sorcery!" (61.6) Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave the Islamic Law of SHARIAH.
According to Quran (34.28) “ We have sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not.
PROPHECY ABOUT THE NAME OF THE LAST PROPHET, HIS BEING A CAMEL RIDER AND HAVING 60,090 ENIMIES*
"He is Narashansah or the praised one (Muhammad). He is Kaurama: the prince of peace or the emigrant, who is safe, even amongst a host of 60,090 enemies.
He is a camel-riding Rishi, whose chariot touches the heaven". [Atharvaveda book 20 Hymn 127 verses 1-13]The Sanskrit word Narashansah means ‘the praised one’, which is the literal translation of the Arabic word Muhammad (PBUH). The Sanskrit word Kaurama means ‘one who spreads and promotes peace’.
The holy Prophet was the ‘Prince of Peace’ and he preached equality of human kind and universal brotherhood. Kaurama also means an emigrant.
The Prophet migrated from Makkah to Madinah and was thus also an Emigrant.
He will be protected from 60,090 enemies, which was the population of Makkah.
The Prophet would ride a camel.
This clearly indicates that it cannot be an Indian Rishi,
This mantra gave the Rishi's name as Mamah. No rishi in India or another Prophet had this name Mamah that is derived from Mah, which means to esteem highly, or to revere, to exalt, etc. Some Sanskrit books give the Prophet’s name as ‘Mohammad’.IN BUDDISMAccording to Buddhism, Buddha said “ I am not the only Buddha after me, at appropriate time a great Buddha will come and his name will be “MAITREYA” which means love, kindness, compassion, mercy etc. The Arabic for mercy is rehmet. RAHMAT is the title given to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the Holy Quran (21:07) “Rahmatan lil Alameen” Mercy unto the worlds. Buddha further said, “He will migrate from his homeland” (Makkah to Madinah).TEN THOUSAND COMPANIONS OF KALKI AVTAR*
"The wagon-possessor, the truthful and truth loving, extremely wise, powerful and generous, Mamah [Mohammad] has favored me with his words. The son of the All-powerful, possessing all good attributes, the mercy for the worlds has become famous with ten thousand [companions]". [Rig Veda V, 27, Mantra 1]
The ten thousands Saints refer to the ten thousands companions who accompanied the Prophet (PBUH) when he entered Makkah during return to Makkah which was a unique victory in the history of mankind in which there was no blood shed.
"He gave the Mamah Rishi a hundred gold coins, ten chaplets, three hundred steeds and ten thousand cows". [Kuntap Sukt, Atharva Veda, Mantra 3]
He is given 100 gold coins, which refers to the believers and the earlier companions of the Prophet during his turbulent Makkan life.
Later on due to persecution they migrated from Makkah to Abysinia.
Later when Prophet migrated to Madinah all of them joined him in Madinah.
The 10 chaplets or necklaces were the 10 best companions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) known as Ashra-Mubbashshira distinctly in Islam (10 bestowed with good news).
300 good steeds (horses of Arab Breed) refer to those companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who fought at BADR.
(Their actual number was 313; however, in many prophecies the numbers are usually rounded up.)Quran: prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is not only warner for one nation but, for the whole mankind
The Quran informs us that, prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not only Warner for one nation but, for the whole mankind, it further informs that, the prophecy of Muhammad (PBUH) was foretold in the previous Scriptures revealed on different nations.*
" Blessed is He who has sent down the Criterion to His worshiper (Prophet Muhammad), that he is a Warner to all mankind." (25:1)*
"We sent thee not but as a Mercy for all the creatures" (21:107)*
"We sent thee not but as a bringer of good tidings and a Warner unto all mankind.
"(34:28)* "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel". (7.157)
The above references from the Hindu Scriptures prove that Hindus were foretold about the worship of one God and were also foretold about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in their Holy Scriptures.
This true religion of Vedas gradually got corrupted and converted in to Hinduism of present form.
According to Holy Quran:-* “This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you. I have approved Islam to be your religion …” (5.3).* “Allah has chosen for you the religion. Do not die except being Submissive (2.132)* "The only religion with Allah is Islam (submission) (3:19)* "He who chooses a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and in the everlasting life he will be among the losers” (3:85)we all should use our wisdom & intellect to understand the holy scriptures revealed.

Scholars who have done extensive research comparing Hinduism and Islam and their major works

1. Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi2. Acharya Maulana Shams Naved Usmani3. Dr Ved Prakash Upadhyaya (Pundit Ved Prakash Upadhyaya)
=========================================1. Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi
Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi was a renowned scholar of his time who wrote the book "Muhammad in World Scriptures" first
published in 1940 in Lahore. The book is based on extensive research and shows the prophecies about prophet Mohammad in many
religious books of different religions including the Hindu, Cristian and Hebrew religious texts. To do his researh on
different religious texts, he learned many languages including Hebrew and Sanskrit to comprehend the sense and meaning of the
religious books directly. He also published a part of Yajur Veda (the religious book of the Hinduism) translated into Urdu.
He toured many countries doing research, visiting libraries and giving lectures. He also visited USA during 1959-1962.
"Muhammad in World Scriptures"
Maulana Abdul Haq Vidyarthi wrote the book originally in urdu in 1936 titled "Mithaq-un-Nabiyyeen". The book was translated
into English and published in 1940 titled "Muhammad in World Scriptures". The author expanded the English versions
considerably afterwards between 1966 and 1975. The new versions came out in three volumes. The books is published in India by
Adam Publishers in 1990.
2. Acharya Maulana Shams Naved Usmani
‘Acharya’ and ‘Maulana’ are two titles that rarely, if ever, go together. The former is a term generally reserved for Brahmin
teachers of the Hindu scriptures, particularly the Vedas. ‘Maulana’ is a title of respect for an Islamic scholar. Few sholars
in India, except some noted medieval Sufis, could have claimed to have mastered both the Vedas and the Quran, and the late
Acharya Maulana Shams Naved Usmani was one of these rare personalities. He also had a Bachelor’s degree form one of the
modern institutions- the Lucknow University.
Author of numerous books on the Hindu and Islamic scriptures, Acharya Maulana Usmani was a passionate advocate of
Hindu-Muslim inter-faith dialogue, spawning a new trend in Indian Muslim literary and activist circles. Here we seek to
explore Acharya Maulana Usmani’s contribution to inter-religious dialogue in contemporary India, examining its major thrust
and its underlying agenda. Acharya Maulana Usmani’s thought inspired the writing of a number of texts by his disciples. He
started a major movement, which gained a massive momentum due to simple yet deep comparative religious study of Hinduism and
Islam and whose associate Hindus and Muslims have worked to change the hearts of thousands of people towards communal
brotherhood.
Acharya Maulana Usmani chartered a new course in Islamic literature in India, seeking a commitment to inter-faith dialogue.
His spirit is the moving force behind his disciples’ pens.
Life and Works
Shams Naved Usmani was born in 1931 at the town of Deoband in northern India, the centre of a powerful movement of Islamic
reform. His family, the Usmanis, claimed descent from the third Caliph of the Sunnis, Usman (d.35/656), and was known for the
numerous scholars it had produced. Among the well-known ulama who belonged to the family were such figures as Allamah Shabbir
Ahmad Usmani (d.1369/1949), who later went on to become one of the foremost Islamic scholars in Pakistan and Maulana Amir
Usmani, a well-known writer and editor of the Urdu monthly, Tajalli. He began his education by studying Arabic and Persian at home, after which, at the age of ten, he enrolled at the Dar ul-Ulum
at Deoband in order to train as an aalim, graduating in 1945. Later he recived a Bachelor’s degree form the Lucknow
university. In 1954 he was appointed as an English teacher at the Government Oriental College, Rampur.Acharya Maulana Usmani was a gifted writer, and began contributing articles to various Urdu periodicals at a young age.Usmani believed that it was the principal duty of Muslims to actively work to present God’s message to others. He lived in a
small two-room rented apartment in Rampur, spending much time in prayer and meditation.
Following in the path of numerous Sufis before him, Acharya Maulana Usmani took an interest in the scriptures of other
religions. He spent several years learning and mastering Sanskrit, the language of the Brahminical scriptures, after which he
is said to have made a detailed study of the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Gita, in addition to the Bible. Like many Sufis,
he came to believe that the most appropriate way to carry on the Islamic daawah in India was to express Islam in terms that
the Hindus would find familiar and intelligible, and to this concern he focussed much of his attention. He gathered a number
of close disciples around him, several of whom later went on to popularise his views through their own writings. He also set
up the World Organisation of Religion and Knowledge at Rampur in order to promote research on other faiths from a distinctly
Islamic perspective and to launch a programme of publications. Presently, the organisation is headed by Acharya Maulana
Usmani’s chief disciple, Sayyed Abdullah Tariq who is an engineer by professional training. The organization regularly
organizes programs and lectures delivering the precious knowledge largly unknown to both hindus and muslims. The organization
can be contacted for organizing a program in your area.

“Agar ab bhi na jaage toh (If You Do Not Wake Up Now Then)”(English translation: Now or Never by Abdullah Tariq)
Having been through over ten editions and translated into several Indian languages as well as English, Acharya Maulana
Usmani’s Agar Abhi Na Jage To (If You Do Not Wake Up Now) is his most well known work. It is said to have been the product of
fifteen long years of research, first coming out in the form of several instalments in the Delhi-based Urdu paper, Akhbar-i
Nau. It is, to summarise its contexts, a heart-rending plea to the Muslims to wake up to the fact that the Hindus are the
community of Noah (called prophet Nooh in Islam and Nyooh or Manu in hinduism) and that the Vedas are the divine scriptures,
which Noah was commissioned by God to deliver to his people.

3. Pundit Vedprakash Upadhyay
The scholar was a learned and famous Hindu professor. He wrote many books. Pundit Vedprakash Upadhyay was a Hindu Brahmin of
Bengali origin. He was a research scholar at Allahabad University.
“Kalki Avatar aur Mohammad sahib”
After years of research, he published the book “Kalki Avatar aur Mohammad sahib” in 1969, and no less than eight pundits have
endorsed and certified his points of argument as authentic.
What the author says is that Hindus, who are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kalki Avatar, are simply subjecting
themselves to never ending pain. Because, such a great messenger has already arrived and departed from this world fourteen
centuries ago. The author produces sound evidences in the book from the Vedas and other holy books of the Hindu religion in
support of his claim.
Book 1 - NARASHANGSA and the ANTIM RISHI
Book 2 - Kalki Avatar and Prophet Muhammad
Book 3 - Religious Unity in the Light of the Vedas
BOOKS 1,2 AND 3 have been translated from hindi into bengali BY PROF. ASHIT KUMAR BANDHOPADDHAYAYA, EX. DIRECTOR, SANSKRIT ACADEMY, HOWRAH. PROF. ASHIT KUMAR BANDHOPADDHAYAYA has also written a seperate book elaborating the works of Dr Ved Prakash named
" Muhammad in the Vedas and the Mahabharata" Dr Ved Prakash Upadhyaya
Narashangsa and Muhammad are synonymous
According to Dr Ved Prakash Upaddhayaya, Narashangsa indicates a person whose very name means 'The Praised'. The Arabic word Muhammad means 'The Praised'. Therefore Narashangsa and Muhammad are synonymous.

Dr Ved Prakash Upaddhayaya and his works

Unique similarities between "Kalki Avtar" and prophet Mohammad

According to Hindu belief, the Hindu world awaits "the guide and leader", named Kalki Avatar. The Avtar is going to appear in the future, who will be the final Avtar and he will be bless for all mankind and kill the evil.
There are several indications and specifications have been predicted and mentioned about the Avtar. And all these specifications and indications fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
We should keep in mind that the last prophet cannot be someone having a minor impact on the socio-religious setup of the world but a prominent personality.
Specifications like date of birth, geographical character of place of birth and that the body emitted a sweet scent do not fit any other major personality in the world simultaneously. Because all the incidents, which have been mentioned about the coming of Avtar, have already been passed through with the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), it is logical not to wait for the Avtar in the future.
NAME OF KALKI AVTAR"The prophet who will be born in Kali Yug, His name will be “SARWANAMA”."(Chapter “Party Sarg” of Bhavishya Puran)The meaning of “ANAMA” is praised one and “SARW” means all, so “Sarwanama” means the most revered or praised one and in Arabic language “Muhammad “ has the same meaning, if we translate Sanskrit word Sarwanama in to Arabic language it will be “Muhammad” only difference is the language.
Kalki Avatar
It is mentioned in Bhagvata Purana Khand 12 Adhyay 2 shlokas 18-20:“It is in the house of Vishnuyash, the noble soul Brahmana chief of the village called sambhala that Lord Kalki will be incarnated”.“The Lord of the universe, endowed with eight spiritual powers and excellence was unsurpassed in splendour and glory.
Riding on a fleet horse given to him by angels, and with a sword in his hand, the saviour of the world will subdue all the miscreants”.
It is mentioned inBhagwat Purana Khand 1 Adhyay 3 Shloka 25:“Then in the twilight of the Kali age, when kings will be as good as robbers, this protector of the world will be born of Vishnuyasa under the name Kalki“.
The description of the Kalki Avatar i.e. the final Avatar is given in the verses Kalki Purana chapter 2 verses 4, 5, 7, 11 & 15.
1. Mother’s name Sumati i.e. Aaminah
The name of his mother will be Sumati (K.P.2: 4 & 11), which means gentle and thoughtful, Prophet Muhammad’s mother’s name was Aaminah, which means peaceful and gentle.
2. Father’s name Vishnuyash i.e. Abdullah. His father’s name will be ‘Vishnuyash’ which means ‘worshipper of Vishnu’ i.e. ‘worshipper of God’.
Muhammad’s father’s name was Abdullah which means ‘obedient worshipper of Allah i.e. God’.
3. Born in Sambhala i.e. Makkah
He will be born in a village called ‘Sambhala’ which means house of peace and security.
Makkah is known as Darul Aman, which means house of peace and security.
4. Born in house of Chief Priest. He will be born in the house of chief of the village Sambhala. Muhammad (pbuh) was born in the house of the chief of the Kaaba."So Kalki Avtar will take birth in 'Shambal Gram' in the house of brahmn Mahnt (religious leader) named Wishnu Wesh.(Kalki Puran, Adhiyai 2, Ashlok 4),(Bhagwat Puran, Skand 12, Adhyai 2, Ashlok 18)BRAHMIN MAHANT mean spiritual and highly respected preist and Makkah’s highly respected preist was “Hasham”, then Hasham’s son “Abdul Mutlib” became the leading preist of Makkah, who was the grand father of prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Muhammad was born in home of Abdul Mutlib. In short, Muhammad was born in the respectable tribe of Quraish who enjoyed great respect and high place in Makkah.
5. Born on the 12th day of Madhav i.e. Rabi-ul-Awwal.It is prophesied that Kalki Avtar will be born on the 12th day of the bright (first) half of the month of Madhav. It is a historical fact Muhammad (pbuh) was born on the 12th day of the bright half of the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.6. He will be the Antim or final AvatarHe has been described as the ‘Antim’ i.e. ‘the last and final’ of all the Avatars. The Qur’an also mentions:DATE OF BIRTH OF KALKI AVTAR"Kalki will born on 12th of month of Besakh (in 7th century)" (Kalki Puran, Adhiyai 2, Ashlok 15)Besakh is famous month of Indian calendar. As per that calendar the date of birth of Mohammad (peace be upon him) is 12 Besakh 628 Bakrami. And that day as per Arabic calendar, Month Rabi I, year AlFeel and 2nd Monday.
And this day was very pious near Hindus.Date of birth of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) is exactly same in all history books.THE PERIOD OF KALKI AVTARKalki Avtar would ride horse, camel and keep the sword to kill the devil and enemies of religion. It means that Kalki Avtar will be born in the time before present age when horse and camel were used for riding and sword was being used for fight.
And in this period and in the coming future people will use cars, train & planes for riding and guns, missiles for fighting. We should not forget that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used both horses & camels, and he fought with sword during battles against those who tried to eliminate the Muslims.
"Father of Kalki Avtar will die before his birth and his mother will die after some time of his birth."(Kalki Puran & Bhagut Puran, Skand 12)
Father of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) died 6 month before his birth and mother died 6 years after his birth.
DEATH OF KALKI AVTAR’S PARENTS* Kalki Avtar’s Father will die before his birth and his Mother will die after few years of his birth. (Kalki Puran, Bhaghwat Puran Khand 12)
These two indications clearly fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
His Father died earlier to his birth and his Mother died when Muhammad was only six year old. For reference please study the life history of prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
According to Kalki Puran, the Kalki Avtar will receive wisdom or knowledge on a mountain’s cave from PERSHURAM (angel).
It is well known that Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was often going to the cave Hira near Makkah (still present) and there one night Angel Gabriel brought the message of God, "Read with the name of God…." And this revelation process continued all his life. And Pershoram is name of an angel with Hindu religion who brings destruction for disbelievers.
And one name for Gabriel is Ruh Al Quddus (Holy Spirit), which is synonym of Pershoram in Sanskrit.
For reference Holy Quran (96:1) “Read (Prophet Muhammad) with the name of Allah” and he replied “ I am not learned” the same indication was given in the Christian’s scripture (Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12) “ and the book delivered to him that is not learned, saying “ Read this”, I pray thee: and he said, I am not learned”, this is another prove of his prophecy.
So prophet Muhammad received his first revelation in the cave of mountain HIRA. And this prediction also fits on him.
MARRIAGE AND WIFE"Kalki Avtar will marry a respected lady of Salmal Dip and this marriage ceremony will be arranged by one uncle and three brothers."(Kalki Puran & Bhagut Puran)Salmal Dip is Arabian Peninsula as per old Hindu traditions.
The wife of Mohammad (peace be upon him) was Khudija and she was most respected lady in Quraish.
The marriage ceremony was arranged by his uncle Abu Talib his three sons Jafar, Talib and Aqeel.PREACHING, FACING HOSTILTY IN HIS NATIVE CITY, MIGRATION AND RETURN TO HIS CITY"Kalki Avtar will start preaching his religion from his city Shumbal Gram (city of peace), which is in Salmal Dip (Arabia).
The people of this city will oppose him and treat him cruelly.
Then he will leave this city and migrate to another city in North which will be surrounded by rocky hills and mountains.
And after a certain period He will come back to his native city with sword and conquer it.
And after that all the country will be conquered.
(Kalki Puran)Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) started his preaching from Makkah (city of peace), which is situated in the Arabian peninsula. Such a land mass surrounded on most of its sides by water is geographically known as “deep” in hindi and “Jazeera” in urdu and Arabic. Thus Saudi Arabia is also commonly known in the Arabic speaking world as Jazeeratul Arab or the island of Arabia (called in kalki puran as salmal deep).
You see Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) started preaching in City of Peace (Makkah) and he was opposed by his people.
Then he migrated to Madinah which is 400km to the North of Makkah, and is surrounded by the mountains. And after reaching here the Makkans started fighting with the Muslims.
And after eight years, he came with sword to Makkah and conquered it and then he promulgated the law of God. And after that all Arab was conquered.
A FLYING HORSE FROM GOD* He will receive a flying horse from God, which will be faster than lightning. Riding it he will go around earth and seven skies” (Bhagwat Puran Khand 12, Adhay 2, Shloka 19-20)
This prediction is about Kalki Avtar also match with the Incidence of “MIRAJ” For reference see Holy Quran (17.1) and for detail Hadith s of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) regarding Incidence of Miraj.
HIS FIGHTING WITH ENEMIES OF GOD:Kalki will fight with the enemies of religion with sword and will destroy many Satan natured and bad character people in the disguise of rulers.(Bhagut Puran)
SPLITTING OF MOON AND ITS SIGHTING BY INDIAN KING* According to the scripture Kalki Avtaar will split the moon.Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed this miracle 1,400 ago. For reference see Holy Quran (54:1-3) “The hour drew night and moon rend (split) in twain …” For more details about moon splitting please study the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) (Volume 4, book 56, number 830-832 and volume 5, book 58, number 209-211) According to these hadiths” the people of Makkah asked Allah’s Apostle to show a miracle (sign of his Prophecy).
So he showed them the moon split in two halves between which they saw the Hiram Mountain”
There is an interesting tradition in India.
Bhoj was an Indian king, there is still city Bhoj on his name in the territory of Kachh (Gujrat). Raja was born after so many years of Bhavish Puran during the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
One night he saw moon splitting in two, he asked the Pundits, they studied the Vedas and Puranas, and told the king that this is the miracle of last prophet, when king asked the signs or descriptions of the Prophet, they told,”
He will be from the city of peace (Makkah) and will be born in the house of a religious saint, his name will be “Narashansah” (the praised one) meaning Muhammad in Arabic, he will have four Khulafa and have 12 wifes “. In search of Narashansah, he came to know that he appeared in Makkah. He met with him and embraced Islam at the hand of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and prophet gave him the name Abdullah, when he came back to home his family did not accept him. He spend his whole life in remembering Prophet and in worship of one God.
For reference (Dr. Kamala Kant Tewari’s book “Kalyuge Ke Antim Rishi” Page5, he took this from Pundit Dharm Ved Apadhye’s book “Antim Ishwar Doot” page 97).
So Raja was the first Indian who embraced Islam.
ANGELS WILL HELP HIM DURING WAR Kalki Avtar will be helped by angel during war. (Kalki Puran Adhay 2, Shloka 7)This prediction also fit on prophet Muhammad (PBUH), when during the battle of UHAD, BADR etc. God sent His Angels for his help. For reference see Holy Quran (3:123,124,125)
FOUR COMPANIONS OF KALKI AVTAR* Kalki Avtar with his four companions or will kill the evil. (Kaiki Puran.Adhay 2,Shloka5)There were four companions or helpers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who helped him in spreading Islam.
Their names are Umar (ra), Abu Bakr (ra), Usman (ra) and Ali (ra).
After death of Prophet these companions ruled the country and practically imposed the religion. They are known as Khulafa – e – Rashideen in Islamic history. So this prediction also fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
KALKI AVTAR WILL BE THE LAST AVTAR* "There are 24 major Prophets, but Kalki Avtar will be the last one, who will be the end of all Prophets". (Bhagwat Puran Partham Khand Adhay 3, Shloka 25)
No Prophet except Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has declared himself as the last Prophet and it is the faith in Islam that Prophet Muhammad is the last Prophet and no Prophet will come after him. God Himself declared Muhammad (PBUH) as the last Prophet. For reference see (Holy Quran 33.40) “ he (Muhammad) is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of Prophets, and Allah is aware of all things ..” and in another place God says, “ .. This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you. I have approved Islam to be your religion …” (5.3)In the Holy Quran there are 25 Prophets mentioned by name including Prophet Ahmed (Muhammad) himself, so there were 24 major Prophets before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
So these two predictions also fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)HIS LEADERSHIP IN WORLDBhagut Puran, Skand 12, Adhiyai 12 Ashlok 19 tells him as "Jagat Pati", meaning, leader of the world.Quran also tells us that he was sent as a 'blessing for all worlds'.HIS BEAUTY"He will be so beautiful that there will be no one like him."(Bhagut Puran, Skand 12, Adhiyai 2, Ashlok 20)
It is clear from history and the narration of friends of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) that he was having very remarkable and beautiful personality.
A SWEET SMELL OF HIS BODY"A very sweet smell will emit out of the body of the Kalki Avtar, which will make the surrounding very pleasant and will make the feelings good"(Bhagut Puran, Skand 12, Adhiyai 2, Ashlok 21)
It is reported in Hadith that body and perspiration of the prophet (peace be upon) was giving a very sweet smell. Abu Jaheefa narrates, "I put hand of prophet (peace be upon him) on my face, I found it colder than snow and sweeter in smell than musk." Jabir narrates, "If prophet (peace be upon him) passes from a street, the other passer by was recognizing from his pleasant smell that He has passed from there."
HIS EIGHT DIVINE QUALITIES"This Leader of World will have eight divine qualities. And he will ride on a flying horse, and this horse will be give by the angel to him. And he will crush the disbelievers and cruel people."(Bhagut Puran, Skand 12, Adhiyai 2, Ashlok 19-20)
The Eight Divine qualities are mentioned in Maha Bharat as:Endowed with eight special qualitiesKalki Avatar will be endowed with eight special qualities.

God's message was sent to him.5. He was strong in body. Once a famous wrestler of Makkah named Rakana Bin Abd e Yazid challenged the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "if You will defeat me I will accept Islam".
Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) defeated him three times and the wrestler accepted Islam.6. He was speaking very little and when necessary only in minimum eloquent speech (sentences).7.
He was always spending his wealth on poor and needy and was never keeping anything saved for his future.8.
